Tip # 77 – Fishing Equipment
We all know lines and rods are required when you go fishing. Apart from these, there is other fishing equipment to make your task a lot easier:
Fish GPS Apps: If you use a smartphone, you can use any app to help you out in catching a fish. Most of these apps have a few common features: You should be able to record your entire fishing trip, you can track the boat drifts, route from one location to another, trolling paths, you can mark the GPS waypoints, such as underwater features, fishing hotspots, docks, etc.
Chartplotter: You can mark the fish acres with this tool. Apart from that, it will also be possible for you to track lure action with this. You can calculate boat speed and also identify how far it is from the next hotspot you have set.
Fishing Baits: Depending on the fish you want to catch, it can be anything from leeches, grubs, Mussels, Crayfish, Insects, Minnows, Eels, meal worms to dough balls.
Fishing Lures: These are not as natural as fishing bait, and include the following: fishing jigs, poppers, spoons, plugs, spinners, crank lures, tube lures, vibrating lures, etc.
For successful fishing, you should have these items handy with you as well: lure dye (used for changing hue of a lure), adjustable wrenches (You can open reel covers with this or tighten trolling motor bolts), and a flashlight (You will need this when you fishing at dawn or dusk), etc.
