Chumming with salted minnows is an excellent way to increase your ice fishing success.

Often when we are out ice fishing, we end up with a few leftover minnows.

Instead of tossing these minnows out, put them in a container with a little water and some salt to preserve them and use them on future ice fishing trips as either bait, or for chumming your holes.
