I have had great days on the water where the action stopped completely after losing a particular bait. So I understand and try to carry a really good supply. I have stopped trying to catch fish when that happens and headed to the nearest place to buy more. One weekend we drove 30km both ways to get the fly that I was having such good luck with fly fishing for Atlantic salmon. I certainly agree with not running out of the bait that’s working.
