Tip # 19 – Attract Trout With Twitching and Skating Dry Flies

Just to stir things up a little, I thought I’d start a section of Fishing Video Tips.  Here’s the first one of many that will come!

Sometimes its all you can do to attract a trout to your dry fly.  The water might be a little dirty, or just plain cold early in the season.  Trout might not be looking up for their food just yet, but with a little commotion on your part you just might be able to get their attention.  Try twitching or skating your dry fly on the surface to instigate a rise.  Caution must be used however as trout taking flies under these situations will usually aggresively hammer the fly with reckless abandon!
