other things in life.  We usually lose ourselves in the birds singing, the rivers never ending gurgling, or the beautiful weather.  One thing that we always seem to forget is our shadow.

When standing beside the river, or in it for that matter, its always an excellent idea to make sure the sun is at your back.  Fish spook very very easily, and spooked fish hardly result in a great day on the water.  Furthermore, Shadows spook fish.  That’s why it is always very important to ensure you know which way you are facing when on the water.  When you approach your fishing destination, make sure to have a look around to figure out the best spot to cast from that will keep your shadow away from where you intend to fish!

Keep the sun in your face and you’ll be sure your shadow is cast behind you, and not in front of you where you are fishing!  This is one simple tip that goes a really long way in making a better day of fishing!
