I remember stepping on a rock that had slimy algae on it and my feet went straight up into the air. I knew I was coming right down on that same rockj back first. I instinctively put my hand between that rock and my spine.

I thought I broke my hand and wrist on that one. After a few minutes I was able to move my hand, just a really good bruising.

This past winter I went out and bought an adjustable wading staff for safety purposes. I prefer fishing over flipping or falling.
